Baratang Island

Baratang island located in port blair south Andaman district within a distance of 100kms to reach the island there is a convey system from the local body government to save tribal people and the forest. Per day there will be only 04 nos convey to all the general public and guest.if you want to visit baratang a personal cab should be there to reach and return safely. Because it will take a day to see all the beauty of the nature.convey system means a toll gate will be there to entry your all personal details there then they will allow you to enter the convey in the convey once started you should not stop your vehicle in front of you a cop will lead you because in between the convey the schedule tribe i.e jarawa people who are the most oldest people of Andaman to save them Andaman govt kept the guidelines to all the general public. After crossing the convey you will be transferred with a 10 seater boat to cross a mangrove forest to reach live limestone cave inside you will see the wonder of a rock formation of lime which is growing day to day. A live mud volcano but after tsunami & earthquake @ December 2004 the volcano is inactive.
